According to the sources, the upcoming film will not directly replicate the original plot but will instead offer a fresh interpretation of its core concept incorporating modern character developments and updated narrative elements. Ranbir is reportedly planning to revive the famous RK Films banner for this project, motivated by his own desire to restore the family legacy. The movie is expected to be the first title under the reestablished banner. With Ayan directing and Ranbir and Deepika in the lead roles, the film is not only a huge onscreen reunion but also a modern tribute to a classic collaboration between Raj Kapoor and Nargis.
